Rockwell 1747-L552 Expansion Rack: SLC 500 System 16 Slot Distributed I/O Solution
The Allen Bradley 1747-L552 is a 16 slot expansion rack designed specifically for SLC 500 modular control systems, suitable for maintenance and upgrading of old industrial automation systems. Its core advantages include:
Flexible Expansion
Supports installation of up to 16 1746 series I/O modules (digital/analog), connected to the main PLC via Remote I/O (RIO) protocol, with an extension distance of up to 10000 feet.
Strong compatibility
It needs to be powered by an independent power module (such as 1746-P1/P2), compatible with SLC 5/0x processors and 1747-SN scanner modules, and seamlessly integrated with traditional production lines.
Key application scenarios
Widely used in scenarios such as material conveying, storage equipment, and production line renovation, it solves the pain point of insufficient distributed I/O points.
Important Notice:
This model has been discontinued, and the alternative is the Rockwell CompactLogix 5380 or Point I/O series.
